Inspired by the medulla oblongata, one of the most vital structures in the human body, this piece reflects its essential role in regulating life-sustaining functions and maintaining balance within the body. Just as the medulla quietly keeps everything functioning in harmony, the aura is the energetic field that surrounds the body, flowing with us and reflecting our inner state.
When creating this work, I translated the energy I perceive around people—the movement, pull, and rhythm of their presence—into color and form. The flowing lines represent the unseen forces that keep us afloat, connected, and aligned, while the layered colors echo the way energy shifts and blends around the body. Medulla Aura is a visual fusion of anatomy and intuition: the structure that keeps us alive intertwined with the energetic field that surrounds us, guides us, and draws meaningful connections into our lives.
